| Chris Flury got his start in custom building
and remodeling with his first company, Custom Decks
and Remodeling, Inc., a company Chris established in
1989. Because so many of his deck and remodeling clients
asked him to construct their new homes, Chris founded
Edelweiss Construction, LLC, a quality custom home building/remodeling
company, in 1990. In 2002, Chris decided to merge the
two companies to enable him to serve his clients even
better.
Edelweiss Construction has a well-established, well-deserved
reputation for reliable, high-quality work. All of our
clients have been willing to act as references.
In fact, so many clients give referrals that Edelweiss
relies almost exclusively on word-of-mouth advertising.
About Chris Flury
Chris was born in Portland and has lived here all his
life. He and his wife of 18 years have two children and
are committed to remaining part of and contributing to
the Portland community. Chris grew up with a love and
respect for older homes and an intimate knowledge of what
determines a successful remodeling project. His first
taste of detailed construction work came early, when he
and his father remodeled the family's 100-year-old farm
house, a 15-year labor of love.
After graduating from Portland State University in
1981, Chris began working in the construction field
to develop the well-rounded background required to succeed
in the building/remodeling industry.
Chris' training in urban planning and communications
has served him well. Although Chris' planning and construction
skills enable him to develop and complete complex projects
efficiently and cost-effectively, Chris never forgets
that he is in the "people" business. His listening and
communicating skills have been key components in the
company's success. His clients know they can rely upon
his approachability, the quality of his work, and his
personal integrity.
